We've been running a parallel side business for a while which involves a lot of creativity. The process is interesting (think glass blowing or sculpture) and have had a reasonable following on TikTok.

This has returned some click through and sales. Without going all out on every social platform, and presuming our content is actually interesting...

Any tips for a greater exposure, following, etc.

It's a lot of word of mouth and the bots at the moment.

Get a cute dog.
Play some peppy music.
Flex your biceps in slow motion.
Stare into the camera lens like you want to make love to me.

If you can do all that whilst showing off your product, you're guaranteed views. The Tiktok community can be quite feral.

Or possibly that's just my fyp...

Make them more "snappy." Include the process perhaps, jumping between scenes so it doesn't take over a minute. Loads of talking or words on the screen, then the final creation. The more people who watch more of it, the more people it will be shown to.

Is that in real time or reactive to a threshold or something. We've been trying to boost likes and views in real time on live events demonstrating product stories etc. But it's a bit of a mystery to me. I understand youtube more!

I haven't done live stuff on TT. Just record everything, then either have it completed from start to finish in high speed or split seconds of footage at normal speed chopped to cut out stuff. The idea is to keep people's eyes on the video if they've got a short attention span.

For sure.

We're getting better at the video editing. The live interaction and questions has been fun, for the most part, too!

Cool. I guess having enthusiastic people talking on the video helps.
