Best (aka cheapest) place to get tracker fitted (Essex)

Hi,
Insurance is insisting on a tracker. The best quote I have had was £300 with fitting... but there’s the yearly subscription on top of that at about £99.
That adds up to £400 for something that’s not even a fun gadget to play with...
Are there any cheaper ways of getting a tracker fitted? Or, are there any trackers that will provide a live traffic feed to the BMW SatNav for a little extra on the subscription, at least this kind of makes it worth having. I saw a menu in the navi for traffic info, but it was greyed out, looks like its an ad-on you can get perhaps?
