Hi

I bought my wife a car radio online and I was going to fit it myself as I fitted one in my car no problem.

The issue is that this one has a DAB windscreen antenna, I thought it would just be a case of prying back the a pillar trim but having looked online it seems sometimes you need to rotate clips using long nose pliers without damaging the airbag and also I've seen the trim can be a pig to get to click back in.

How difficult is it really?

Obviously I need to make sure the wiring doesn't cross or interfere with the airbag. And I need to be careful removing and refitting the trim.

I've seen some guides which say to just leave to a professional if you have a side curtain airbag. Maybe they are just covering themselves.

Should I just see if I can find a shop to fit it or is it not really too much to worry about as long as care and consideration is used...?

Windscreen antenna are notoriously bad at DAB reception so try it without tucking in the cable first, in case you need a better solution
