My wife now needs the above.
Has anyone found a good 3 or 4 wheeled electric scooter that fits into a Pan (or similar size) boot, 445 L with seats up?

Admission: I had some business contact with the designers daughter (and driving force) when this was going to market, it's very well thought out.

Damn if you were closer we would have that off you for Mrs geeks mum. We have a blue one very similar to that for Mrs geeks and its been superb and up forest tracks it had no business making it up. Think it was from CareCo. Mrs geeks mum has one of the fancier ones that folds itselt up. Its crap!

I went through all this a few years ago for the FIL. I have no connection to this one but my advice is just buy it!! They're an amazing bit of kit (I now have the one I bought back again as it's no longer needed). I paid £450 for ours which seemed very good value.

I suggest doing some research though as these aren't folding scooters but splits into 4 parts. This is better as there's less weight to lift!!! The weight point is a serious issue to consider (and try!).

The scooter shown here is the same as the one I bought and would definitely buy again.

No connection to the seller, just in case you wonder!!

My wife has a similar model. Fits in the back of her Nissan Juke, although the seat can be a bit bulky so we normally put it on the back seat.

Great little scooter. Does exactly what she needs.

We looked at the ones that automatically fold. They're geared more towards those that use them for travelling on planes, we found.

The smaller it is, the less suitable it is for actual use on pavements, etc if you want to get out and about.

Just for clarity, the one that I posted above is folding in the sense that the handlebar stem folds down flat on the deck, the seat and seat post easily lift off, the battery comes off in ten seconds, It has had very little use, tread still on the tyres etc.

Obviously comes complete with charger and three keys.

My wife bought one of these a couple of years ago:

Shes delighted with it, easy to load into the back of the Qashqai too.

Also looked at the atto, but that was really only suited to flat, smooth surfaces.

It's a long way from Cornwall to Manchester, but thanks everyone so far for your helpful hints. The Juke boot is smaller, but more square i.e. taller.
If this doesn't pan out my fall back is trade up to a Volvo V60 T8, though the sub 5 sec ones are quite rare.

Good luck finding a nice one and hope your wife is OK. smile
