Please tell me this is not a fake exhaust noise button ??!!!

It might be the valve that goes from silenced to straight through, for a bit of extra sporty growl but I honestly have no idea, never owned a Cayman.

From the trim I'm guessing that is a 981 Cayman?

As said above, it opens the exhaust valves, bypassing some of the silencing. They still close at certain rpm ranges, but there's always a fix for that...

Here's a pic of the same valves on my 982. Collars to prevent them fully closing at any rpm.

Porsche sports exhaust button. Not fake, very good actually, one of the best options you can have fitted
