When I bought my 1992 TVR Griffith 400, the alarm remote it came with had a cracked housing. To be honest, I never really liked the way it looked anyway.

Since I’ve got a 3D printer at home, I spent a bit of time doing some CAD drawings and experimenting with a few alternative designs that might look a bit tidier. I’ve now settled on a version I’m really pleased with, so I thought I’d share it here in case anyone else fancies giving it a go.

You can get the CAD and STL files here if you want to: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7194411

I printed mine on a Prusa i3 Mk3 using generic black and white PLA filament. In the slicer, I set a colour change so the first layer prints in black, the second in white (for the inlaid writing and frame), and the rest back in black. The whole thing takes about an hour and a half to print.

Hopefully it’s useful to someone else with a TVR who wants to tidy up their remote too.
