For me, it's going to be the Honda CBR 600RR but any Honda CBR 600 would probably be the same...

ZXR750 j, wp shock and fork internals, dynojet kit and factory ignition advancer, that front end was awesome, best bike I've ever had, not the fastest, but just felt so right.

Probably my FZR1000 Exup, I’ve owned technically better bikes but it was my first litre bike.

It’s between my first bike a Honda SS50 and my Aprilia RSVR. The Honda was my first and I loved it for the freedom and fun. The Aprilia was my first 1000+ and first v twin. Blew my mind. Only bike since to make me have the same reaction is my Streetfighter V4S. I think that may take top spot eventually when sentiment wears off. I do love motorbikes.

The list could be very long
Any number of Ducatis, 860GT, 900SS, 1298 Superleggera
Honda Fireblade
R1M
Z1R
Honda 400/4

But for me, the one bike that made me want to ride bikes will always be an old coffin tanked Triumph/BSA custom chopper type thing from the 70's, belonged to a guy from a back patch club and i must have been about 5 or 6 and when he pulled up next the car while dad was filling up, it was the greatest thing i had ever seen in my life.
Mum was horrified, dad grinned when the guy on the bike said he thought he'd made an impression and i knew that i wanted a motorbike when i was older.

Six months after passing my test in 2002 I bought a Triumph 955i Daytona. The performance blew my mind.

I still miss my Kawasaki KH500 after over 20 years so it must be my favourite.

Aprilia RSVR.
I had one as a daily mode of transport for over a year. Lovely thing to look at and sounded superb with akrapovic cans on but it was hard to ride and really hurt my knees/elbows/wrists.

Honda ST70 which we used on the fields
Yamaha TZR125 - must have been one of the first in the UK reg D63WRB

Had many bigger bikes but had the most fun on the 2 above.

5JJ 2001 R1

Brilliant bike, did a fair bit to it suspension wise but it was always a good bike, that is the only one I wish I still had.

I always fancied a 954 blade and having had a few years off bikes I found a really nice one, hoped it would be similarly good to the old R1 I sold in my early 20s... It just wasn't, even after I put money into the suspension, power commander etc.. sold it after about 8 months. Still a nice thing but I don't miss it at all.

Another bike I miss is my first bike which was an NC30 VFR400. Too small for me ultimately but a lovely thing.

Ditto the R1, mine was one of the first, i think 99 or something, wish i never sold it. Have had faster and better bikes since, but the R1 is the one i remember most fondly.
Even if it was the one that tried to kill me the most often

It's probably nostalgia but my Yamaha DT175. Had it after I passed my test. First bike was a DT50.
It was brand new and got stolen in London after about 12 weeks of ownership.
I have had about 30 bikes since and 40 plus years has passed.
I still remember it clearly and I still want one again.

I do know it would be a disappointment now , never ride your hero. Bikes that is .

I've had an ape 125 and 1000.
The 125 was much more fun, in hindsight...
