Re-con Clutch option

As some of you will know, my Cerb is with Autocraft at present and in addition to the re-build we discovered that the clutch needed replacing.

Due to the difficulty in sourcing one from AP or TVR, Dave has got mine re-conditioned at a cost of £395.

He mentioned that he would offer this service to others so thought I would let you know.

How do that replace the fingers? Do they have a supply?

Hi E3D,

they do replace the fingers along with pressure plate etc etc. I'm not sure where they source the supply but as specialists I assume they have continuity of supply hence the offer to other Cerb owners.

Coincidentally I have just emailed TVR Craft with an enquiry as to cost and details as they list a complete clutch upgrade on their website:

"Install a superior clutch and flywheel system including far superior hydraulics (this will throw away your clutch worries for at least 15k upwards to 30k miles*)"

Fantastic, so relined pressure plates and new finger diaphragm for £395! is that service available for the early 4.2 AP clutch that's no longer available?

not sure - mine is a 1999 car - but by the sounds Dave is using a clutch specialist so don't see a reason as to why he wouldn't be able to sort you out.

What's the best way of contacting TVR Craft? I've had my car in the garage for 2 months with broken fingers! If I could get hold of the Russian bloke it's be more than his fingers that would be broke! I can't believe there's a shortage, it's not like TVR don't know that everybody will need one!

Stick with the pain fella - my Cerbs been away for almost 5 months and I'm really missing her but I know it's gonna be worth the wait.
