Had an attempted theft of our 15 plater recently.
No-one heard the alarm, the keys were 100m away so maybe they used a scanner thing to dis-able the alarm.
They didn't take the car as the old school krooklock fitted round the clutch pedal meant they had to wrench the pedal up, breaking it, thus the car wouldn't start.
They also broke the door lock trim as shown. The lock has been wrenched over leaving a small gap. Is this the weak point?
I'm told the mk7 is desirable and easy to nick.
What other security measures should I take, apart from not parking in some scuzzy part of town.
