That actually looks pretty cool to me, as long as it doesn't damage the body work but who cares, it's in a museum now

Imagine engaging that in aerial combat - you'd possibly be so amazed (nay, dazzled) that you'd forget to shoot at it and instead wonder how it came to be that you were suddenly spinning beneath a silk canopy.

The beads are stuck to panels stuck to fuselage, not that it really matters as they built loads of the things and that one was already a knackered old scrapper.
