Service packs vs just paying for each service [M3T]?
Discussion
Anyone any idea or views on what's best. I'm assuming that "buying" a service pack is cheaper albeit you have to pay upfront or monthly depending on which one you go for.
M3T^ seems to be £43 a month for 36m and that gives x2 services albeit excluding the RIS which it seems has to be paid for in addition.
^based on 10k miles per year
Service 1: 18,000 miles / 24 months
Service 2: 36,000 miles / 48 months
So £1500 for x2 services!
TX.

Depends on your mileage. On a 3 year plan with the figures above you get one service M3T^ seems to be £43 a month for 36m and that gives x2 services albeit excluding the RIS which it seems has to be paid for in addition.

I didn't bother, but then I'm only on 7500 miles over 2 years in.
I optioned the 5 year service pack for the G90 M5 and it worked out at £2,310 from new but note the GFV (when on PCP) increases by around £800.
That meant the monthly payment increased by £35 which over a 4 year term is £1,680.
The RIS was £550, leaving a balance of £1,130 for the remaining services up to year 5. I know the 2nd service is a major ie plugs, which will cost in order of £1,200 alone and therefore the pack is value for money.
If you're paying it as a service "plan" and not an outright "pack" it might not be as cost effective.
