This just caught my attention, and i must say, what a transformation!

New designer maybe?

That looks awful, looks more dated that the current version.

Looks very much like every other half SUV, half hatchback out there. Much prefer the new Twingo or R5, they seem to have nailed an interesting design.

Looks smart to me, can see the Clio ‘dna’ but modern and up to date.

Yeah i can see why some might not like it, but it was more about the complete redesign.

Having said that, i think it was well overdue.

Not sure on the boxy flat front end though but like with everything, may be different in the flesh.

That’s really rather odd looking. The front looks like 2 designs melded together at the mid point and seems to accentuate rather than the disguise the height of the bonnet.

Looks more Mazda than Renault. After playing a blinder with the new 4, 5 and Twingo, this is a real let down

When you look at the R5 and R4 and just how well designed they are, you get the impression the Clio team just phoned it in.

Can't understand how this fits in their line up, surely if you want a supermini you go for the Renault 4 or 5?

An entire new car just to make a hybrid drivetrain available as an option for those that want it?

On a side note I am trying to think of any other manufacturer who has sold 2 superminis of similar proportions, at the same time and can't.

VAG will sell you the same car with 4 different badges on the front a la A3, Golf, Fabia or Leon. All the same underpinnings with differing trim levels and price points.

PSA with the Corsa, 208 or C3.

Its quite common.

Sorry, I should have said brand, not manufacturer.

Ford with the Fiesta and the Ka+?

I believe Fords thinking was folk who’d normally go for a cheap(er)-spec Fiesta, would instead opt for the 5dr, similar-ish sized Ka+. When in reality it was a much cheaper car for Ford to produce, hence a little more profit.

Yep, that is one, even sharing the same chassis.

Cross between a Puma and Mazda 2. Can't think of a car that's successfully adopted the gaping maw look.

Not everyone wants an electric car with a 150 mile range on a good day? Plus a large percentage of people don't have off street parking and don't want to rely on public chargers at 89p per KWH?

I hired the outgoing version recently and thought it was a smart looking little car (crap in other departments), this new one looks a mess.
