I got covid last month for the first time. Laid me up for a good week.

However, I am having some issues with my sense of smell, which I understand is common after covid.

For some while, I thought it was me - a strange body odour, but my partner says it isn't. I have a horrible smell in my nose and also my sense of taste is off, nearly a month later.

It smells like fried egg whites.

Has anyone had similar and did it go?

(Bonus is appetite is reduced, so I am losing a bit of weight).

Smelling smoke for me. It’s random, it comes and goes. Didn’t happen with Covid per se, more 2-3 yrs later.

Thanks for the response.

I'm beginning to wonder if it was statins prescribed by the GP.

I went away and forgot to pack my tablets. Towards the end of the week, the smell had gone and also the joint pain had eased..
