Hey guys,

I've shipped tyres before by just strapping them together and slapping a lable on them but I can't remember who I used. Anyone know of any company that allows this?

Thanks

The last time I used the excellent Paisley Freight to ship four wheels, they asked me to package each one separately.

The last time I used them, they wanted all 4 on a pallet (the actual shipper who collected was TNT, in a rigid truck) - a few years back now though.

From https://www.paisleyfreight.com/packaging-requireme... as at 18Nov2025. See "Unboxed Service New".

Unboxed Service New
Our new unboxed service allows you to send goods not contained in a structured cardboard box, examples of this are wheels and tyres, please ensure your goods are suitably protected with bubble wrap, cling film or cardboard including exposed metal.

Rims Only
Each rim must be individually packaged into a fully structured cardboard box. Each rim must be individually wrapped in bubble wrap to restrict all movement within the cardboard box. The boxes must be labelled with the full delivery address.
Each box must not exceed:
Weight: 30kgs
Maximum Dimensions: 60cm x 60 cm x 40cm.

Tyres Only
Each tyre must be individually packaged. They must be fully wrapped in bubble wrap or shrink wrap.
Each tyre must be labelled with the full delivery address.
Each tyre must not exceed:
Weight: 30kgs
Length: 1.6m
Height and Width Combined: 1.2m
If increased liability is purchased, tyres must be in a structured box.

Alloy Wheels and Tyres
Your alloy wheels with tyres can be unboxed. Each alloy wheel must be individually packaged. The exposed rim must be covered with bubblewrap and cardboard (no bare metal permitted). We recommend covering the whole wheel with bubble wrap or shrink wrap. Each alloy must be labelled with the full delivery address.
Each package must not exceed:
Weight: 30kgs
Length: 1.6m
Height and Width Combined: 1.2m
(i.e. when you add the width and height together, they should not be more than 120cm)
If increased liability is purchased, alloy wheels must be in a structured box.

I used Paisley Freight to ship two 18” tyres last month for £29.99, booked online, collected on time - all good.
I wrapped them individually in this stuff and stuck a label on them.

It was actually APC Overnight on behalf of Paisley - guess it varies by area?

They are a booking company, the actual freight companies involved vary.

View Paisley Freight a bit like you might view ParcelMonkey, but for bigger items.
