Thinking about buying an e90 325D or similar , currently have an e46 318 on 79,000 but would like something quicker

Anyone have any tips on what to look for on the m57 engines and e90's? Better yet anyone recognise the car?

Ty in advance!

I've never had one, but by all accounts the M57 engine seems to be pretty robust.

If you don't do massive mileage a petrol with the N52 might be an option. My 2006 E91 325i had done 139K when I sold it and still performed really well.

Most BMWs from that era are prone to oil leaks from brittle gaskets, and E9*s are getting to the age where rear subframe corrosion can appear. But I really like my current E90 330i despite it's nearly 130K miles and becoming a Cat N in 2023!
