Mid range headsets for Teams, etc
Discussion
I'm after recommendations for headsets to use for work calls, the call-centre style ones we're supplied with are pretty rubbish.
Budget is about £50 as it would only be for light work, maybe 3 or 4 short calls a day, with the occasional 1-2 hour call every couple of weeks. It must be wireless as I'm fed up the tangled mess my current headset seems to default to. Also would prefer over the ear style to help drown out background noise from the office/home.
Any noise cancelling functions would be a bonus but appreciate the budget will limit this to some extent. Any recommendations?

I always go for a gaming headset, generally more comfortable, go over the ears and sometimes with noise cancellation. They are designed to be worn for extended periods and be comfortable. I generally prefer wired though as it stops me pacingBudget is about £50 as it would only be for light work, maybe 3 or 4 short calls a day, with the occasional 1-2 hour call every couple of weeks. I've got an older pair of Sennheiser GSP300s (gaming headset from 2018), and whilst they're perfect for me, the downside is they're wired...although I did replace the vinyl ear cushions in 2023 with faux-suede ones a few years back for more comfort/less stickiness.
I have been tempted by a newer pair of the Logitech G435s, but am waiting for the GSPs to die before I do - although unless I find a bargain in the Black Friday sales (although they're currently on offer for £40 vs £75 RRP).

I think you probably need to double the budget to up the budget a little to get something decent quality that is Teams compatible.
Lenovo are doing this for 67 quid at the moment

What makes that 'Teams compatible'? I thought any headset can be used in Teams. Lenovo are doing this for 67 quid at the moment

I recently bought a load of these for our teams. As said above, being a gaming headset they are designed to be worn for long lengths of time. Everyone listens to music as well when they are plugged in concentrating so welcome the improved comfort/sound. They also last a bit longer than your generic pc call headset type device. Some people still want a traditional headset like the Lenovo one above though.
