Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this, specifically to help with mental health. Not going to go in to details, but I need to try something that isn't the traditional route as that doesn't work anymore.

Have seen ads on FB and looked at a few websites, but the problem is I don't know what is a scam and what isn't. Have read about various protocols etc and have found websites that say they have people that can guide you through (the times for calls don't make sense to me if they're based in Holland though, which makes me sceptical about the site), would be great if I could speak to a uk based professional about it, but that seems unlikely.

Thanks

Not sure what kind of response you'll get as you're essentially asking for advice on the use of a Class A drug.

I have no experience of using psilocybin for mental health issues but there will definitely be people in the UK who can help you with this, do your due diligence. I would not advise ordering from Holland; while the likelihood of being caught is arguably very small, what you're doing is importing a Class A drug. Further, it's something that's available for free in this country if you are able to develop (or borrow) some knowledge of mushroom identification. That said, you've pretty much missed the time of year for that now in most places.

Find some help that you trust, be careful and be sure on what you're doing. I hope you find the help you need, in whatever form that may be.

Absolute nonsense that it's class A, it's one of the least dangerous drugs going. It's legal to buy the spores, just not cultivate and prepare them for use. As they're just fungi it's not exactly difficult to grow them.

Just a point to note, they may not have any effect if you've been on antidepressants in the last three months. Just something to bear in mind.

Appreciate the responses so far guys. It does seem nuts that it's still class A, especially as there are trials starting up specifically for the use I'm interested in.

The reason I'd thought Holland was the controlled nature of dosage compared to homegrown or foraged, but yeah, don't fancy getting myself in a load of trouble for trying to help my mental health.

I’ve ordered magic truffles from Holland no problem. One batch even got stopped by Border Force then sent on to me. Odd.

Have a look at Baron Von Grumble on YouTube, he is a motorcycle vlogger who did this recently.

Psilocybin is a promising treatment for a range of mental health problems but the successful/credible trials use microdoses in combination with psychotherapy because the psychdelic experience, between individuals, is not a consistent response and can be tricky for those with history of trauma

FWIW my view is that psychedelics get to a similar place accessed by meditation/mindfulness ie. a state of awareness that recognises thoughts and feelings as being transitory, elusive and not necessarily 'true' thus reducing their capacity to cause distress.

It's something I'd try but I am on drugs only prescribed by Psychiatric consultant and he might not be best pleased. I wish there was more openness about treatments such as this.

A good little analysis, and kinda along the path I see them.

Our brains are an open canvas and we paint on them what we want. It should be entirely possible to fix anything with the right therapy, and ultimately whatever works for you works for you. As long as you genuinely do address the underlying artwork.

I prefer to not look outside for my peace, but inside. It is only from the inside can I create the outside world that I want to experience. It's easier to change how you view the world, than try to change the world to suit the way you want to see it.

But that's just my view on it.

Look up serotonin syndrome, can be fatal. This is normally with higher doses but something to be aware of.

Have microdosed psilocybin in the past, can be extremely beneficial for mental health.

Remember being into mushrooms a fair bit when you could buy the growing kits legally in the UK. Great visuals and well being on small amounts of Mexican mushrooms, but you have to be careful not to go too far.
A mate had too many after growing some, had a total freak out and ran out of the house virtually naked and had to call an ambulance. He was and still is a paramedic. laugh He looked pretty sheepish for days afterwards.

Visited a mate in Switzerland who saved some top quality mushrooms for my visit.

Pretty intense time as the mushroom was explaining to me how it was to be a mushroom at a molecular level in a kind of mushroom language. That was pretty wild. smile

Bit off topic, but hey ho. thumbup
