If you can get to the connectors where the wiring connects to the screen and you have a multimeter, you could check whether voltage is reaching the screen. If it is then there could be a screen or connection problem; if not the problem lies somewhere between the fuse (which you say is good) and the screen. Although I'd still be inclined to probe the fuse holder with a multimeter to see if the fuse has a supply, just to be on the safe side.
Then, when you have established at what point the voltage stops, you just need to go back through the circuit a step at a time to find where voltage starts again to narrow down the problem.
As far as getting to the screen connectors goes, I've had a quick look at my V8V and they are not obvious, so I'd guess they are under the inner tailgate trim.
