2 x Hetchins bikes from 1947 and the early to mid 1960 s

My dad (83) has recently decided that the two Hetchins frames he got repainted in the late 1970’s at Hetchins in Southend on Sea need to be bought out of the loft and built back up to road worthiness…..

I’m trawling through the Hetchins.org website for help and I’m hoping others on here have some insight to help us get these back on the road, or have stories of their own history with the Hetchins bikes.

I’ll try to get some pictures next time I’m round his house for reference - his was a Magnum Bonum 21 1/2” frame and his dads, my Grandads, is a 1947 model, name long forgotten but o hope to alter that through the Hetchins website

Interestingly, Shimano have been making bicycle bits for over 100yrs!
