Cash ISA to S&S ISA - recommendations
Discussion
I'm an investor numpty - no interest in it and happy to make a decision and wait, for better or worse.
I have a private pension with SJP and a S&S ISA with them (as I said, no interest in it). I have some cash ISA's, bonds and other cash holding with NBS. I have 16k in some ISA accounts that I'd like to move to a S&S ISA to try and gain some growth over a minimum of 5 years (as I approach retirement).
SJP 'initial fee' to move these were, frankly, a joke - it's more transparent now which is a good thing but perhaps not for them.
Any suggestions on an online tracker type ISA I can move these to, and an appropriate fund. Happy with medium risk.
Cheers

I've used Nutmeg, who have recently become JP Morgan. Simple and decent app. As usual you answer a set of questions that assesses your appetite for risk. It then suggests the risk range that suits you and your pick on a scale of 1-10.
I find it easy. I'm at 9/10 most of the time. In for the long term. Good luck with whether whatever you decide. Have a read of the fees to assess the whole picture. More fun and very likely to do much better than cash over the medium plus term.

If you have no interest in investing, maybe follow Lars broad advice & pick yourself a low-cost tracker.
Easiest option might be a Vanguard LS80 or similar - or pick a platform like AJBell or HL & pick a broad global fund, such as MSCI World index, Fidelity Index World Fund or similar.
I'd be sure to ditch the famously hideous SJP running costs.
Including the pension - if they have punitive leaving fees, you could stop it dead and start one elsewhere, then move SJP one away in 5-6 years.

The only dealings that I have ever had with SJP, was when they invited me to have a lovely lunch at a top hotel.
Their only fees on that occasion, consisted of having to endure their preceeding sales pitch.
Knowing a little about the firm and their fees, I didn't fall for that, so overall I thought the service that they provided to me was very good value.
