"Amid a deepening ecological crisis and acute water shortage, Tehran can no longer remain the capital of Iran, the country’s president has said."

So the government is going to ps off to the coast somewhere leaving 10 million people to suffer.

Blimey, hard to fathom a Government just sodding off like that. Where does that leave everyone who lives there?

Must be more frustrating given it's a solvable problem to some extent, as long as there's enough money and competence. Saudi Arabia is down the road and they have almost no natural fresh water, yet they seem to cope OK.

Israeli desalination technology is cutting edge - maybe they could trade some oil for a couple of plants? Oh, wait....
