Hi - i have a 2020 Audi Q7 Sline V6 EA839 engine. I had a boroscope examination to diagnose a EML and engine knock. Could someone please advise if this looks normal or if there are any signs of scoring/deposits.

Many thanks.

Is this the one possibly with the Dong Yang pistons issue? If that's the case, the pistons are so soft they will wear and then rock but may not even leave marks on the cylinder walls. Have a look at "saving salvage" latest video (on the Porsche Macan), he shows you how to diagnose and fix it.

Thanks thats helpful- we havent got to the engine strip yet. Just did a borescope and not sure if that is carbon build up or a clear sign of scoring.

I watched that last night, what is it with the modern engine to be so poor.
