Hi, i'm thinking of buying a new set of tires for my V8 Vantage N420 and, as it's my all year around daily, I might go for these.

- Anyone here has these new tires set on his/her car ? Is there a big diff with the CrossClimate 2 (not sport as it doesnt exist in V2)?
- This is a bit annoying : My wheels are 235/40 R19 & 275/35 R19 (front & back). The issue is that the CC 3 Sport doesnt exist in 235/40 R19, but in 245/40 R19. So my question is : is it possible to fit a 245 wide tire on a 235 wide rim ? Is it legal, illegal, does it fit, is it dangerous ? It's only a diff of 1cm in total, so, from my purely subjective and not professional, it should be ok, but I guess I'm not qualified to know if it's ok or not...

Thanks

Hi,

Your wheels are actually 8.5J x 19" front, 9.5J x 19" rear to suit your 235/40 ZR 19" and 275/35 ZR 19" tyres.

When AML increased the tyre sizes for the 'S' model (and all variants at 12.25MY) to 245/40 ZR 19" front and 285/35 ZR 19" rear they left the front wheel as an 8.5J x 19" but increased the rear wheel to a 10J x 19", so your front wheel is the same size as the one on my 2015 car and you'll be fine with a 245/40 ZR 19" tyre on it, as that's my standard fitment.

Obviously the tyres need to meet the minimum load requirements set out in the back of the owner's handbook for your particular car.

Hope that helps

Hi and thanks. This sounds good as the rear Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport are available in 275/35. So all good.
And yes or course everything needs to be online with the requirements.
I'm going to double check again but thanks.
I was just wondering if the insurance could be a problem if the front wheel have 1cm wider tires compared to the original.

With insurance the best thing would be to call them and check - you don't want them disputing a claim after the event. I wouldn't personally think so, especially if you tell them the reason for the change is to make the car safer in cold conditions by fitting more suitable tyres.

Just check that the CrossClimate 3 Sport are available in XL (Extra Load), as many AML tyre fitments require this - my 2015 V8V certainly does but I'm not sure about the older models

Ok i got my final answer... And it was so simple that I even didn't think about it.
It's written on the car itself. So basically I can go for 235 or 245 in front, and 275 or 285 in rear...
Official data. So I'll go for 245 and 275 with Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport as it doesn't exist in 235 and 285.

You know, I also believe I have never noticed that there were two specified sizes for the tyres on that label... biggrin

What size are the PS4S that I put on the car?

235 / 275 so I'll go for the 245 / 275 Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport. 1.2k€ including geometry mounting etc.

I definitely did not know that some alternate sizes were actually fine for car, otherwise I would have gone with the bigger ones fior sure!

I think I just checked the manual and the registration, I don't think they mention the bigger ones there.
