Travelling - Music to Take - Greatest Hits Albums
Discussion
So going to be travelling soon and I want to load my phone up with a tonne of music.
Yes Ok so much to choose from so decided to only take "Greatest Hits" Albums.
Yes I am a Charlatan I know.
I need the PH Collective Wisdom on this.
My music taste spectrum is vast (See below)
(1) White Stripes
(2) Monkees
(3) ?

I’d count live albums as a form of greatest hits, so…
Live After Death - Iron Maiden
Alchemy - Dire Straits
Then a couple of chillout/dance type to counter that so maybe a couple of the original Cafe del Mar albums - Nos 6 and 7 are my faves
As for typical GH albums…
Rear View Mirror - Pearl Jam
The Best of Blondie
The Story of The Clash
Get Stoned - Rolling Stones
Greatest Hits Vol 1 & 2 - Billy Joel
Greatest Hits Vol 1 & 2 - Queen
Probably think of a few more…

A couple of suggestions from me :
Wings Over America - I got my parents to buy me this (at some considerable cost) when I was a youth and I still think it's a great album, it's a live album (but an edited one, rather than a single concert) featuring all the best Wings tracks, some Beatles stuff and some Moody Blues stuff (Denny Laine's influence).
Prefab Sprout Greatest Hits "A Life Of Surprises" - Great pop songs with a quirky twist.
Reverend and the Makers Best Of - Great Indie rock with some great lyrics.
