Aren’t they running out of (legally appointed) attorneys? Might be an issue finding someone who is both prepared and capable to bring the appeal?M.
Especially as the statute of limitations has expired now.

On a more serious note, yes- the "appoint them on temporary basis to bypass checks and reviews" approach does seem to have backfired.

I listened to that today and a phone in on LBC where I don't like the presenter however I was really interested in the calls that came in. It just appears that Trump is seen differently by lots of people in America ,than he is by nearly all the rest of the world . Its frightening but never the less absolutely fascinating .USA, no longer a friend.

Trump really doesn't have much time for Zelensky does he? Thankfully European leaders keep rallying round him, albeit not actually doing a great deal as yet.
Can't see this peace deal being accepted anytime soon and Ukraine can't give up sovereign lands without a full referendum anyway.
