And yes the 1/2 inch red handles are mint because I think they are rubbish & replaced with the also mint Draper & US Pro ones in the cheap socket sets for my work vehicle & a spare one for home, that was purchase day, they aren't as mint now.

Favourite one? The Stanley Workmaster one, I bought it 36 yrs ago & it still gets used.

Most expensive? The Hazet 3/8s I'm not exactly sure how I acquired it actually, I didn't buy it, but they are expensive things, more than Snap-on usually.

Most useful? The 1/2 & 3/8 flexi head ones, such a great invention!

Most useless? Prob the 1/4 extendable, tbh I've never really needed it! Just fancied it to balance out the 3 matching hammer I'd just got it replacing my old worn hotch potch set, & to balance my Feng shui wink

Old hotch potch hammer selection still in place tho do not fear.

Looks like you have enough to have one for every size socket you use.

I'm not really a fan of the flexi head type - especially on nuts which are in a less than perfect condition.
The extra movement makes location less secure.
Koken do some excellent rachets & you surely need 2 or 3 more for Christmas!

My mate said ah yes all good but do you have a 10mm socket to fit them all, ha well it would require me to open up a bunch of different socket sets in different locations, but I think I couid just about manage it.

If I had the same collection then I'd be keeping them, as there's not really much you can do with the ones that you would be wanting to getting rid of due to value/low demand. The ones that would sell are the ones you'd want to keep too. They can be useful when 5 of your friends are all working on the same car too.

There's a lot of redundancy there. I'd be wanting to buy a 1' long, 18", and 2' long 1/2" drive ratchet too. While I agree that flex heads can be annoying, they can also be very useful for specific situations (I've often found within wheel arch area for some things). But they're annoying, so you'll want fixed head ones too.

I've found britool ones great so you should buy some of them. They are my go-to ratchets, and I always choose them over my snap on ones. this isn't necessarily because they are better, but I prefer to abuse them. I guess you'll need a good set of snap on ones too. Go for the modern ones with the high tooth count.

I'd also consider looking at breaker bars of various lengths for each drive. You want a variety. I'd also consider 3/4" drive stuff is great too for things like hub nuts.

To sum up, I think you have far too many ratchets. I think the solution is to keep the ones you have, and also buy more ratchets.

On a side note, put those ear defenders in the bin and buy these:

Stopped using Britool years ago, the flex head ratchet mechanism was rubbish, stripped the 3/8 and 1/2 in no time. Bought Teng instead.

Dewalt nut banger gets used more than any ratchet these days, apart from the 3/4 drive stuff.

I have 3/8 and 1/2 Britool ratchets from years ago when they were well made in England. Still going strong. You can find them on eBay.

Just noticed the adjustable hammer hanging there, with all the other thumb finders.

I see what you mean, there's a definite "knife wrench" style chimaera going on there.

But if you actually want one, adjustable hammers have this shape end.

That one's a podger too. Add a fruit machine to it and you have everything a scaffolder could want for.
