Are the top grills just banged on and prised off?
Can't seem to remove them for cleaning without damaging the paintwork.
Thanks

The sides of my radiator comes off first and then the top releases, a slightly different design though.

the sides have to be removed on ours before the grill can come off. There are 2 screws at the bottom which hold the sides on.

A lot are just prised off (sides first) but the plastic clips usually heat up, turn brittle and snap so it won't clip snugly back into place. A long radiator brush down into the radiator fins is better if you're cleaning fluff out.

Thanks everyone

No screws but the bottom of the side panel is sort of held in place with a 270° circular white plastic clip which sort of prises off, Was waiting for the crack but so far so good. Going to go around the house but have done two now. One in the bathroom has notable corrosion along the bottom so needs a good clean off and repaint.

I did one of mine the other day with a Makita air duster - it sent a cloud of dust everywhere. It was not nice, especially as we've only been in the house a few months. Radiator is probably working better now though.

Ours are all slightly different some screwed some clipped, some just pressed together so I'm not sure how it will come off.

I do want to paint one or two though, what paint are you using and what results have you had?
