Hi,

MY 2012 BMW640i Convertible having two new Pirelli tyres on the rear tomorrow. Is it worth having the wheel alignment service (+- 45 quid) at
the same time ?

I had the 4 wheels done when all 4 tyres were last replaced 2.5 years ago. I really can't say i noticed any difference after the tyres were replaced at that time.

I'm just wondering if it's worth doing again when only replacing two tyres.

I will replace the front two tyres in +- 6 months, so maybe just wait until then for it to be done (if at all.....)

Thoughts ?

Thanks
Nick

No, tyres don't affect alignment.

So long as the tyres you are having replaced have worn reasonably evenly across the tread then no need for an alignment. If, however, they are more worn on the inside or outside, then an alignment would be advisable.
