What if the Sprint race points were separate from the WDC./ WCC
More flexibility for teams to run their reserve drivers.
No need for a driver to give up their seat for a FP1.

Winners to be classed as SPRINT WDC & WCC CHAMPIONS.
A Championship to bridge the F1 & F2 gap.

Are there enough sprint races to make a championship? I'd worry it might seem like trying to make a big deal out of what is generally a fairly boring series of races.

Also they don't even let the current winners have a trophy or podium as that's reserved for the Sunday GP only - I can't see them distracting from the actual championship with a new mini one.

Perhaps 'World is a bit OTT... just FIA Sprint Champions might suffice.

If they kept the current points scoring system,it would remain close.

I know that it's a bit Mickey Mouse, but it would allow some flexibility without impacting the GP.
(Got to keep the fans happy).

I think the best thing to happen to the championship is having more teams.

We have Cadillac joining for 2026 which gives us 22 drivers.

We need a few more teams to bring it up to 26 drivers so we can have more young drivers brought into F1.

I'm sure there is space for manufacturers like Hyundai/Kia and maybe a Chinese manufacturer like Chery/SAIC/Geely/BYD.
