suspect that this could be good for a laugh... let's 'av a butchers at mispronounced words dat make u seem less than well educated...

It s a linguistic process known as metathesis - as some people may write comfortable but say comfturble. Are they uneducated?

One mans 'mispronunciation' is another mans 'alternative'.
'stloads' is a fairly recent word, apparently first used in the 1960s. "Shiploads', on the other hand, first appeared in print in the 1630s. From this, it would be reasonable to assume the later word is a derivative ie. a mispronunciation of the former.
