Looks blooming decent to me. Really like the colour combo which reminds me of my Gen1.

Agreed. When the busa launched it was part of the hyperbike top speed wars going on at the time with the Blackbird etc.It's now less powerful than an average litre sports bike by the looks of it.
Its always been a porker and an ugly looking brute. We now live in a world where constant surveillance and road monitoring will have you banged up quicker than you get your leathers on so IMO don't really see the point in this bike anymore.
For 19k you can go and buy a do it all sports tourer or superbike with over 180bhp that wont be far behind it along a straight road, and will leave it without trace on a windy road

Kind of… Yes the gen 1 Busa was part of the hyperbike world. These Gen 3 Busas have a different purpose….It's now less powerful than an average litre sports bike by the looks of it.
I bought a Gen 3 (current type but not the limited edition) because I wanted something that was a bit sporty but big and smooth. I’ve done litre super bikes for years and I specifically wanted something different due to how I felt they had been encouraging my riding on the road. The Busa is very grunty, very smooth. Very stable, comfy and rolls into corners nicely.
Maybe I just like odd bikes ... Still love my old Triumph Rocket … and miss my Serrow

Yes! Viewing many of the generations from original to current at the NEC show last month made me feel exactly the same but glad id seen and been part of the best decades for motorcycling As for the Busa, ive owned 2 x Gen1s and loved them both but as said above, the GSXR thou made them redundant performance wise and the Busa was even less comfy for its riderVs the GSXR, so they lost their appeal for me, was surprised and a little disappointed when this latest model was launched to see it wasnt pushing out 200+ BHP but good to see it’s still in the range.
I've got a Gen3 2023 Busa which I really like, took it for its 2 year service and as usual I was approached about the possibility of changing it for something else such is the game at service time, my last 2 bikes have been purchased by this route.
I am always up for a bike change but this time because I really like my Busa I asked what did they have in the showroom which was better than my bike and the only answer was a new Busa.........not sure that's the answer I wanted......
Current thoughts are:
Triumph Rocket
Ducati Diavel
Mv Agusta Brutale RS
Ducati Streetfighter V4
Triumph Speedtriple RX
or keep mine!
I am always up for a bike change but this time because I really like my Busa I asked what did they have in the showroom which was better than my bike and the only answer was a new Busa.........not sure that's the answer I wanted......

It might be my age, but I don't really look for "better" bikes any more. My S1000RR was definitely "better" than the GSXR1000 it replaced, but it was not more enjoyable. The GSXR1000 was better than the TL1000 it replaced but I'm not sure it was more enjoyable. I've a Gen3 Busa which I really like. I'ts not "better" than the S1000RR but its more enjoyable. In fact, I've been really enjoying my Triumph Rocket (old 2300 one) lately Despite it certainly not being "better" than my others.
I guess my point is that bikes are about the experience, that makes "better" a complex thing. All the bikes you list would be great fun, as is your Busa... Maybe try them all one by one over the next few years. :-)

Really good point, hadn't thought about it that way, what I wouldn't want to do is to change the Busa for something I don't enjoy as much.......I've a Gen3 Busa which I really like.
