Trying to return EQC end of contract

So we leased a Merc EQC which is due back by 22/12. It clearly states it can be returned to a local Merc showroom on the finance portal. This has twice been requested through the portal & it confirms our local showroom will be in contact to confirm appointment. This doesn't happen. We have spoken to our showroom & they know nothing about leases being returned. Told to ring BCA, they won't touch it as we need a service B1 (which we missed & will pay the charge for) Rang Mercedes finance gone through the same info as per the portal & booked another appointment for tomorrow to drop off. We have been told to contact the showroom to confirm. Spoke to Mercedes showroom & waiting for a call back because no one has a clue !

Not been through this but why not email the Mercedes dealer (or just ask for the manager and show their own website to the manager) with the link from the MB UK website, which clearly outlines;
"You have two options for returning your vehicle:
Return your Mercedes-Benz to a Showroom
Return your vehicle back to your local Showroom. Together, you’ll complete an appraisal of your vehicle and understand if there are any additional fees to pay under the agreement including excess mileage, damage or service history related charges.
Arrange an inspection and collection
If Mercedes-Benz Financial Services UK Ltd don’t hear from you beforehand, the preferred collection agents, British Car Auctions will be in contact around 30 days before the end of your contract to book your collection. You can arrange to have your vehicle inspected and collected at your home address or place of work."

Pedant mode on...If it's a 'dealer'ship, it can't be owned by the OEM can it? That would just be an outlet/shop/store for their products - ala Tesla.
If it's run by a dealer there has to be an owner that acts between the OEM and the buyer.

So eventually got a call back to say we can return it tomorrow. Mercedes Benz finance & dealerships just dont communicate. We had issues early on with the dealership, they try to not deal with anything to do with leasing.

But they do still have an obligation to provide service to people choosing to lease - as you've found out, they don't love that.
