Just that really. Trying to find examples of x3 and x5 cars with both adaptive cruise and a 360 camera. It's surprsingly difficult.

I'm struggling looking on autotrader. Do I simply need to look at every single advert and look at the steering wheel picture to see if there's a button for it?

I'm trying to search for 'parking assistant plus' (I think that is the 360 camera) and 'driving assistant' (I think that's the adaptive cruise) but getting confused. This can't be the most efficient way, right?

On the BMW AUC website you can search for specific packs. I guess the best you can do on Autotrader is to try the keyword search under more options and hope the seller has done a half decent job of listing the car properly!

Autotrader's filtering is crap... Adaptive cruise is rarer than the 360, so look for the radar one the lower grill in the pictures and then check for the cameras if you find one. What are the specifics, budget, year, mileage etc?

Yes look at the photos. Don’t rely on the text as often dealers miss things to mention in the adverts. I needed lumber support in my X5 which is fairly rare and the only way I could get an accurate eye of the market was to look at the photographs and even enquire on some cars and ask them to take a photo of the side of the seat so I wouldn’t trust the text.

Was looking at paying £35-40k ish for a L405 Range Rover from 2019-21 ish and realised this morning I could probably get a x3/x5 for that kind of £.

When I went to a showroom it was all pov spec examples, which is not for me. I care about the tech in cars having been driving our 2018 Nissan Leaf Tekna runabout over the past couple of years and really enjoyed it. I want to get all that tech into our main car next time around.

Particularly 360 camera and adaptive cruise, those are non-negotiables for me nowdays.

Have found one 2019 example x3 for £30k that seems to fit the bill so far, but there must be others. Surprised by how difficult it is

Thanks, will take a proper look. Current thinking is I want a ICE car because this car is for use on 100+ mile journeys mainly, we've already got an EV that does short distance stuff well. My starting point is that for long distance EV journeys I'd only really want a Tesla because of supercharging, but maybe the world has changed, will take a look

I've also started finding plenty of X5s now on autotrader using the trick of looking for a camera in the front grill in the pictures thanks to this thread, thanks guys

X5's can have adaptive cruise if it has the radar - just have to pay through the idrive screen to unlock the software. For 360* you're looking at a tech pack IIRC

I’m not so sure about X5’s but I’m much more familiar with G01 X3’s as I was in the same mode of specific spec searching a few years ago. With X3’s, I think your must have are in packs, Parking Assistant Plus for the 360 camera and Driving Assistant Professional for adaptive cruise. As other have said, the easiest way to identify them, other than looking at the front of the cars, is to go the BMW Approved Used route as the options are clearly set out in the details there. What I have seen is that the decontenting as a result of the post covid chip shortage issue, which seems mainly to have affected the LCI cars in 2022 and 2023, did seem to result in Driving Assistant Professional, amongst other things, being deleted. This I think would partly explain the lack of cars that fit your requirements.
Have you tried an X3 with Driving Assistant Professional? Other than the adaptive cruise it also adds things like lane assist and evasion aid, which aren’t to everyones taste.
Hope that helps.
