So there is a campaign to ban Labour MPs from pubs in protest agaist rising costs in that industry.

Do we think this is just? My view a private business is free to pick an choose who it serves in line with the law an MPs aren't a protected group. However I don't think this will help them.

I doubt 99% of the population could even name 10 labour MPs let alone spot them out and about in their civvies.

So atleast 400 of them would have absolutely nothing to worry about beer

They'll be lucky to afford to go to the pub after 2029 anyway.

Labour are destroying the industry with their policies so if you are on the receiving end of their ideological insanity, banning MP's who are voting and supporting those policies, which will crush your business, seems to me to be an eminently proportionate response.

Most people wouldn’t recognise their MP if they walked passed them in the street so I’m not sure if this will accomplish anything.

Anyway, MPs have their own subsidised bars in the HoC to get pissed in.

The last couple of places I've lived the local politicians of all persuasions were pretty keen on plastering pictures of themselves over social media. Maybe a knock on effect of this initiative is that there will be a bit less self publicity.

Private business so they have the choice.

It might seem a bit petty but I can't say I blame them frankly.

They should also ban anyone who voted labour too! Not sure how they would be identified though.

Pubs have been getting destroyed for years by all parties, yet there's still loads out there.

Several pubs in this part of the world that have been shut for several years have re-opened in the last couple of years, so there must be some money in it.

Liebour are destroying many industries with their nonsense policies and extensive taxation. They’re doing everything in their power to hobble and deter any growth. They seem hell bent on increasing benefits and limiting peoples freedom and do so while blatantly lying or avoiding answering direct questions on the subject.

If we have them in power for the full tenure, I do believe the country will be a shell overrun with the work shy.

Absolutely.
Maybe start banning Labour MPs from consuming anything produced by British farmers as well!

What happened to the anti cancel culture crusaders and the free speech absolutionists. It seems, yet again, many people are selective when it comes to their moral standpoints.

Private businesses can refuse service to whoever they want as long as it is legal, but if pubs want someone to blame they need to look at the breweries first.
