Were these SDI fitted to all wedge models?

Do you know if they can easily be stripped down to component level as I think now would be a good time during the rebuild to get everything zinc plated and greased up.
I do not want to have to go there in my lifttime.

I think it was mostly rivetted/peened together so whilst not impossible, it wouldn't be an easy overhaul.
The pinion that meshes with the quadrant gear runs directly in the steel pressing, so it can wear the hole oval (as shown on my site somewhere) which makes the glass judder badly when dropping. Apart from that I'd just think a dunk in degreaser and some judiciously-applied lube would keep them going for a while.
At one stage Rimmers were re-importing SD1 bits from India and the winders were about £15 each... times have changed!

As the car is with Track V Road, up your way I believe I'll ask Ian to degrease & regrease before they're refitted.
