Track day with car & instruction - Modern day Bookatrack?
Discussion
A friend wants to do a (car) track day.
She's confident and has good mechanical ability (passed her pilot license this year to surprise her boyfriend, a skydiver)
She wants a proper track experience, not just a sanitised 'drive a Ferrari' day.
In the olden days, Jonny Leroux's Bookatrack would have been perfect. Hire a Caterham, get half a day of tuition before being let loose for the second half of the day.
If there an equivalent now? I'm so far out of it I have no idea anymore.

Caterham themselves do track day experiences with instruction.
Opentrack recommended - I've hired their Caterham a number of times and it is very cost effective. The Hype options always look great but are quite expensive... not tried them, but in the want2race days (also run by Ben as far as I'm aware) the Ginetta events were brilliant.
To be fair, the Thruxton 1-2-1 experiences are good - good instructors who will get you up to speed - and they now do them in Alpine, M2 and Cayman. Only down side is you share the track with people meandering along in a 'supercar' or those appaling single seaters.
