Loving this little rocket but got a few ?s for you lovely peeps out there driving the 140iM.

1 Best tyres for spirited year round diving?
2 Throttle seems to need to be pushed quite a way before acceleration kicks in... not progressive like the Audi... and Sport mode seems similar - was expecting it to be more sensitive
3 If I service it myself what IT kit will I need to reset and log service
4 What are top 3 mods for this model?

TIA

Michelins of which ever version you fancy, think I had PS4s on my 340i.

Top mods would be sort the suspension out (Bilstein B14s were great IMO), LSD & a stage one map.

I like the Goodyear F1 Supersports. I run them on my M2C. Tread is also wider than Michelin for a given size, in my experience, which is very nice for a shorter wheelbase RWD car like a 140i or M2.

For more comfort, I would go with Michelin PS4S, which I use on the 540i. The Michelins are less aggressive and suit the big car a bit better.

I went from Bridgestone Runflats to Michelin PS4 to Eagle F1's. The Goodyears feel by far the best in all weathers.

I had PS4S's on my 540i and they were brilliant. I had xDrive which helped. I've gone PS5's on my 340i which is RWD. Not quite as sharp but slightly more useable all year round.

Goodyear F1 Supersports better by a mile than the Michelin especially in the cold and wet road driving. I put them on my M140 last December and was amazed at how much nicer they were.

We've got Michelin PS5's on our LCI M135i - wear well, perform well year round
