Best Christmas Gift

Looking back to when I was kid it was probably my slot car (Scalextric) track. I came down Christmas morning and it was set up and ready to go, it was a Tomy Daredevil Rally track which game with a Golf and 205 rally cars, it had a loop and a wall climb.
As an adult, it's less exciting I reckon. My other half did get me two Displate metal posters last year, one of Jaws and one of Alien which look very cool.

The best one I ever received was a Nintendo Wii, it was 2008, I was 5, I've still got the thing now.

There's a coincidence, I was given something very similar though I don't remember what age I was. I've always had an interest in photography but didn't really pursue it, certainly not to the extent where it would earn me any money.Kodak Instamatic 77X when I was 10. I think for me it's probably the various things for my model railway layout. I never really thought too much about it at the time, but when I see the various second-hand bits on offer at the local

My own personal favourite Christmas gift has to be the Amiga 500 I got when I was about 10 from my grandad, it was originally his but whenever we were there I would play on it endlessly and show him all the things I learned while using it, he gave it to me in the hopes it would spark my interest further. I guess he is the reason (along with my uncle) I have a semi-successful IT career!

It's funny as my dad couldn't drive due to illness so I didn't have huge car influences as a kid. But looking back and Christmas/Birthday gifts there was a lot of car related stuff. The slot cars, a Matchbox Gearshift Garage, Cargantua (big robot that stored cars) and Micro Machines aplenty haha.
The present to myself that still makes me smile is getting rid of facebook and messenger
I didnt want facebook anymore and deleted it , I kept messenger for the contacts . But if I used messenger it automatically reactivated facebook. I found out that I had to delete messenger at the same time
So no goodbyes or telling people that I was leaving, It still took 3 months before it finally removed me and all my data from facebook and messenger , the confirmation was emailed on xmas morning ,

Mine is slightly unusual because I didn't really want it at the time.
I had asked for an Amiga 1200 as a couple of friends had them at school. I was desperate for one so when I opened the huge box that was wrapped from my brother and saw a Sega Megadrive with Sonic 2 I was not hugely happy but obviously plugged it in an played it anyway.
That console became probably the most fun I've had in my whole 30 year gaming 'career' and I am sad that I traded it in with a gazillion games like 10 years later for absolutely no money at all.
