Hi i have a set of JE forged pistons I have the original build sheet for the pistons but unfortunately JE have said the orignal rings are NA ;-( they have come back with the below. Assume ok? The orignal rings did not seem to have any blowby but the cylinders did not have much crosshatch and the machine shop honed the bores. Assume high risk to use the orignal in respect to cylinder sealing. Not done high miles less than 10k since the forged pistons were installed by previous owner. Does anyone recognise the below part numbers, can post the piston build sheet if helpful.

The RA144-3534 has been discontinued. We found a similar set RA144-3533. The radial dimensions differ but will fit, ie they have more back clearance than the original set. Only the second ring and oil ring differs in the radial dimensions so would be no difference performance wise.

You'd have to know the exact dimensional change to make an informed decision

So JE are telling you they will fit ?

Or speak to Dave Powell at Performance Unlimited in York.

As long as they are correct bore, ring height, have enough back clearance, etc then they should be fine.
