Wow! I thought the 1:35 scale S Boot I have awaiting build was big at around 38 inches!
Bismarck is a particularly elegant battleship. Enjoy the build.

By my reckoning if you get the guns working they should have an effective range of 200 yards, more than enough to cause some neighbourhood mayhem!

Following with interest - particularly how it stacks up against the HMV 1:250 version that I'll probably never finish.

What's you plan for the "insignia" on the fore and aft decks?

That will look superb on a shelf on the back wall there! It is one heck of a project.

Probably have it as it was in May 1941 overpainted but everso slightly visible, but I really like the Black/White Hull/superstructure markings so may have to have "those" markings displayed.

You can say swastika. It was around long before the Nazis borrowed it.

Or their sibling company, Opel? That always puzzled me, given Germany's (and the rest of Europe for that matter) natural aversion to stuff from that era.

I built a 1/200 HMS Nelson.

A metre long.

Most enjoyable build.

Spent a fortune on after market bits !!
