Google photos/hub/tv question

Hi all, I use Google photos. When our TV goes onto screen saver it shows my google photos, including the latest ones (Recent Highlights)
however our google home hub does not. Can anyone explain why my home hub does not show my recent photos? As far as I'm aware everything is synced and backed up.

Just to add, I think my main problem is that the two devices (TV and Homehub) pick up the photos from different sources, and I don't know how to control that. I've followed all advice i've found, but don't seem to be getting anywhere. Very frustrating.
