Is the lack of other comments, telling?

I was really taken with Endeavour more than Morse but this feels as though it is Guy doing what Guy knows best - and that might not really work for this character.

I'm not sure if there was a demand for this, and some Guy Ritchie stuff has been utterly terrible.

I have no feelings on this one way or the other.

But who or whatever did the 'poster' image did a terrible job of throwing it together, was it AI or the intern?

4 episodes in and I'm quite enjoying it.

absolutely zero canon, but I am ok with that. Also really like the dynamic between Sherlock and Moriarty. I like Moriarty as a character in this as well.

Yup, enjoyable nonsense without reinventing the character completely. Liking it.

I've watched a couple of episodes. It's entertaining and it doesn't take itself too seriously. I shall be watching more.

Same here.

Liking the "Mind Palace" expositions but slightly disappointed that he's not doing much Sherlock-type deducing.

I'm quite enjoying it.... although it's not as good as Dead Boy Detectives which had a similar vibe, and was cancelled after one series.

Having been a sceptic, now having watched it, I am convert.

Love the references and a great way to introduce those characters we know from the books but also some other Holmes 'hooks'.

Still ploughing through this smile

Well worth watching, up to Ep6 at the moment and hoping there’s a second season.

I'm finding the characters ability to be somewhere 'new' in moments, coupled with their perfectly tailored (and suitable) wardrobe, a little grating.

Some flaws in how immaculate folk all look, having to do 'ordinary' things (go to the bank to get local money or an advance on funds, you know, the stuff that helps tell a real story (for which I'm thankful to one particular English teacher, who pointed out [whilst we at first laughed] that in "The Old Man and the Sea", the fisherman did actually, at one stage, have to have a piss).

All this is missing and it's a little (dare I say) too slick.

Mycroft as a character, is nowhere near the equivalent of Sherlock mentally, which is not the impression I got from the original stories. However, the portrayal of James Moriarty is brilliantly done - so far, at least.

Completely agree. IIRC Mycroft was supposed to be cleverer than Holmes but let down by the fact that he was a bit of a lazyarse

Moriarty seems to be a far more interesting character than Sherlock biggrin

and may the good Lord forgive me for having insalubrious thoughts about Mrs Holmes biggrin
