what sort of blower are you after? fixed displacement (roots), twin screew (whipple) or a centrafugal type (rotex, vortech or procharger)?

i think Autocare offer a parocharger for the 2.5 duratec. might be worth a look.

oh and whats it goning on/in?

thanks Chris.

dam! forgot about GMC! very good reputation though and produce some very nice kits. i remember reading about their vts demo about three years back! 225bhp and strong torque! also they use Rotex (i think) centrifugal superchargers so the boost builds with rpm and makes for a more N/A still power curve (ie just pulls harder and harder all the way to the red line), so they are easier to drive hard than say a turbo or a roots type blower that can be a little to agresive for fwd applications!

thanks Chris.

id try GMC, they may evenlet your car be a test bed and thus cheaper!!! other than that have a look if the bigger 2.0gti will fit.

or you could hold out for the 1.6 turbo that BMW and Pug are co-developing!!!!

thanks CHris.

Nitrous - cheapest power upgrade you'll find...

Just don't use it on the road

It may seem cheap in the short term, but long term its expensive. And for the road, a total waste of money IMO. Doesnt last long enough.

Power is useless, if it runs out when a bottle is empty.

.....and the bottle doen't even have to be empty!!!!

when hte presure drops below operating levels then (with a wet system) you start to run rich, which can rob more power than the N2O is making!!!!
