Camera recommendations

I’m looking to buy a camera that I can use whilst hiking and also for when I go on holiday and trips abroad. I’ve a budget of around £500.

Use your phone, most phones are good enough for 75% of photos taken. Big cameras are just a lump to carry around and don't have the software built in to correct exposure like todays smartphones do.
