Christmas day electricity used
Discussion
The rules are , you can't post until the day is over of course, and to give it some meaning a comparison with a regular day .
We had two ovens going ,air fryer, additional heating in conservatory and 12 people in the house . I actually just put the washing machine on too. We have run the dishwasher 4 times today.
I will post in the morning,as a teaser we look so far to have used about 5 days worth for comparison.
Numbers in £ to follow.

25.2kWh
6 of us in the house for dinner yesterday (Usually 3). Both ovens and warming drawer on for about 3 hours, dishwasher ran 3 times, fridges probably working a lot harder also as they were opened and closed constantly and topped up with various leftovers.
Consumption for the few days prior was between 15-20kWh, so around 30% higher than typical.

OP numbers. Typical day looking back £3.80, £4.10 ,£3.20 etc
Yesterday was £10.45.
Averaging 60kw a day at the moment, about£16 worth on octopus flexible we went out for Christmas lunch yesterday, but cooked a ham in the afternoon and had the heating on (electric boiler) pretty much all day, just the 2 of us at home
My guess will be about 110kw, about£35, any other guesses? Il update when the data appears in the octopus app

We are all electric on the Octopus Agile tariff. We normally spend about £7.50 / day in December and keep the lounge at 21C. But an 85 year old friend was coming and she has her house at about 26C continuously so we turned it up to 24C. We were sweltering, she was comfortable.
We have a double oven and warming drawer. The Beef went on at midday and all the Veg was roasted as well as the Canapés.
The scores on the doors are just in from Octopus and we used £12:20 in total. Considering, I do not think that was too bad, as it was also pretty cold and windy - up North.

62.78kWhrs here. All electric house, including electric Aga which was flat chat most of the day. The good news is that most of it was at our lower rate of 17.1p per unit rather than 29.1p per unit. That s because we charge up our 36KW battery bank overnight at the low rate and then run off that all day. Rather annoyingly we ran out of batteries at about 8PM so the last bit was at full price
I should have sent everyone to bed early. Bah humbug. It was cloudy here so not much solar to top up the batteries, that usually covers any evening shortfall.
It s about £11.

We used 48 kWh (excluding charging the car which was another 22 kWh), cooked traditional Christmas dinner for 7, oven on for 4 hours and induction hob on the go.
House is heated by an Air Source Heat Pump that was set at 19.5 degrees all day.
22 kWh came from battery storage, 4 kWh from solar and remainder from the grid.
Total cost £15.22. Average cost is approx £4 / day
