South coast vs Surrey

So I’m having a bit of a mid life crises, well a big one and thinking of selling up ( Chertsey ) to Witterings .
Was diagnosed with prostate cancer, my ex walked out, took the dog and had to sell the home with the 6 garages private mooring and slipway . Sounds very grand but it was probably the worse house in the best street.

I’ve now considering in moving to the coast, learn to sail and have a change of pace.

So anyone else done this and any regrets ?

I'm in Fontwell, love the south , but I am from here. Roads take some getting used to as they are all pants. However some nice country roads, and Goodwood is great. Drive down and stay for a few days and test out if you like it

Do it.

If you’re going to take up sailing, and probably volunteer crew as well for racing at some stage (do it, great fun), you’ll make loads of friends.

As you’re finding out, life often ignores your plans and gives you whack around the face. Don’t wait for life to happen, make it while you can.
