S1 Bilsteins - gaiters?

My S1's Konis are in need of change and it seems Bilsteins are the way to go. For the expense it occurs, it seems to me a good idea to fit gaiters to them, not least as they are not seen during use.

Or is this not a concern?

Gaiters are a good shout. Keeps crud off the piston rod, stops seals leaking. Makes sense on new Bilsteins.

Did you get the upgrade done? Would love to know what your motivation for change was and what you went with. I just got an S1 Elise on original Konis and they're kinda chatty... I'd like to get a suspension refresh.
