Any other fellow Renaultsport owners and enthusiasts here? Recently moved from a Clio RS 200 to MK3 Megane 275, they really are the last of a dying breed of the true hot hatch, with all the new stuff getting bigger in size these days, everything going auto only and everything going electric/hybrid, I think people are starting to appreciate these older hot hatches of 10/15 years old a lot more than they did when they first came out! They really are fantastic machines with good chassis, and hold their own on a B-road or a track. Think people nowadays forget the Megane's set the record time for hatches on the ring, three times. Not just a general traffic either, they are getting pretty rare to see on the roads compared to your Golf GTI etc!

Be cool to see how many people are still rocking a V6, Clio Cup or a Megane Trophy R

And if you are thinking about buying a naturally aspirated Clio 200 or a Megane, you won't regret it... wink

Hi and agree totally. I am a bit late to the party having missed the hot hatch bit in the ‘80s and ‘90s with convertibles and rwd stuff.

But a friend in the village was selling this a couple of years ago and couldn’t resist. And it has been a revelation.

Wouldn’t want to drive across Europe but locally it is a hoot. Small, agile, na engine and enough power to be fun. Recaros are great and brembo brakes superb with so little weight. Don’t think they will ever make stuff like this again. Small, light, 3 door and cheap to run. Wife hates it!
