Want to treat myself and a mate to this early in 2026, any recommendations please if you have experienced a course?

I did this last year. Excellent fun. Tuition available, they expect you to crash the cars and lunch is provided.

You will crash though! I did this to one of the MX5s going backwards into an ice wall.

They've got Evos and all sorts but the reality is the MX5 and 130i are the most fun!

Some decent ski-resorts close by there too if you fancy a bash at that.

Those of you who are interested, be aware it only runs for a month each year.

Yup - Åre is great for skiing.

Went on honeymoon there and we did ice driving at Kall Auto but that has closed down. IceDriveSweden looks very similar.

It was A LOT OF FUN!!

I’ve done the Tuthill Below Zero driving experience for a couple of days with one of my lads for his 30th Birthday. Extremely expensive but a fabulous experience in old rally prepared 911’s. Very well organised, as it should be!
Once in a lifetime stuff.driving Highly recommended

Kall Auto used to have 911s (C2, C4) and a Cayenne. You could choose, and after the basic training you were let loose on an ice track. They said no limits, but if you drop it into a snow bank then wait and we will tow you out.

Now I class myself as “ok” as a driver - done track days, etc but the owners son took us out in a Cayenne and he made it dance like I was still Learning to walk.

Epic, epic fun.

Seconded ice drive Sweden. Done it a few times, seems disorganised when you try to book but an epic day, cheap compared to a few other options (I think it was around £600 for a red car, which you likely share with a mate), and super convenient, I've flown in after work on Friday, done a full day driving on sat and been home in time for bed sat night.

Where do you fly from/to? Ostersund?

Nah it's only a couple of hours from Oslo airport, and it gets dark early so plenty of time to make the last flight home

I have also had this on my bucket list for many years
After some research I have booked a package with
Ben Hyland
Drive@hypemotorsport.com 0333 772 2120
they have a number of trips from end Jan to mid Feb and Ben has proven to be flexible and helpful
When looking at the packages you have to pay attention as some offer very limited driving
anyway maybe give Ben a call

Åre would be a bit more of a drive. Sälen is just up the road with 4 different resorts. Åre is nice though.
