What spot repair primer gun?
Discussion
I've got a Devilbiss ProLite S 1.2 for base and clear and it's great - low air consumption, efficient TE5 air cap etc, but I want a small primer gun too with a 1.8 set up.
I don't want or need the expense of a high end gun for what will be primer only for small home repairs, but I'm struggling to find a small mini / midi gun with a 1.8 set up without spending hundreds on something high end.
I'm loathed to just buy a Chinese £30 cheapo and wondered if there was something in between that is decent enough, but not high end that is small for spot repairs and can handle 2k primer.
Any suggestions, or does decent, small, 1.8 and reasonable cost not exist?

Personally I use a Sata 100 BF for all my primer work and simply dial it right in for spot repairs.
I don't think you will find a mini primer gun with a 1.8 set up. I put a 1.6 needle in an old midi gun for that purpose a few years ago but I just don't use it, a full size gun is fine for every scenario, just put a small gravity pot on (250ml) and as I say, dial the fan pattern and flow right in for anything that's a spot repair. You then have the flexibility of having a gun that works for large primer work as well.
The Ani Compact kit gets good reviews as a decent budget gun, but I've never personally used it to comment.
